MentorDanmark have their heart set on children’s right to a proper education, so it was pretty get easy onboard, when they asked for help to create a system designed to help with homework for children and if we wanted to help their it-development reach new heights. Our partnership usually changes throughout the collaboration, and this was no exception. It didn’t take long for outsourcing of simple it-tasks to become a global team of developers in Pakistan and continuous strategy meetings.
Every year, MentorDanmark helps thousands of children and young adults achieve a greater joy of school, and they have grown in record time. This put a lot of strain on their it-systems and –security, so we started our partnership with a greater restructure of resources and systems. Actually, we began by testing individual tasks with our global team of developers in Pakistan. Today, MentorDanmark have their own dedicated team who knows the complex systems like their own back pocket and who goes the extra mile every day to create a platform which can handle the high demands to speed, ease-of-use and security. This is ensured by daily scrum-meetings with MentorDanmark’s project manager and the team which provides a creative and iterative process and of course ensures that we are on-track.
MentorDanmark is a company with whom we share a set of values. That is why it was natural for our CEO, Michael Henningsen, to be a mentor for their it-chef, who would lead the big changes. When we engage in a task with a company, we can’t help but challenge the leadership to think bigger, more scalable and long-term, and that is perhaps why we today are part of MentorDanmarks strategy meetings and are a part of creating new projects.
